Our Via Ferrata adventure with zip wire
Looking for a zip wire in Cornwall that’s a bit different? Rather than being just a passive ride, our Via Ferrata Zip Wire is the finale to the ultimate high wire adventure involving scaling cliff faces and balancing across high wire bridges! This is one of the most unique and exciting adventures in Cornwall, for kids aged 10+ through to adrenaline junkies!

Offering so much more than just a zip wire ride, our Via Ferrata Full Classic route is a 2-3 hour long climbing, high ropes and zip wire adventure! The only Via Ferrata in South England, it’s set in stunning granite quarries. Clipped into a safety cable, you get to wind across the rock-faces on an exciting route that takes you 20 meters above the water level. Part way through, there’s the challenge of our high wire bridge! This 70 meter long single strand of wire will test your nerve as you wobble your way over the water. The zip wire is the ultimate reward after having reached the summit!

One of the most scenic zip wires in Cornwall
This is certainly one of the most scenic zip wires in Cornwall. As well as taking in the route you’ve just conquered, you’re treated to stunning views over Falmouth Bay and the Lizard Peninsular. These sights were last seen nearly 100 years ago by the local quarrymen – what a way to experience Cornwall’s rich quarrying heritage!

Just want zip wires?
If you’re just after zip wires without the climbing and high ropes then check out our Zip Wire Safari! This ultimate zip wire adventure sees you flying round our adventure quarry on 3 exhilarating zip wires! Our dual zip also offers double the fun as you leap from the cliff edge and fly round together. You’ll also experience the thrill of traversing along the quarry edge in between zips. This adventure doesn’t include the Via Ferrata zip wire but the route is just as exciting!
Unwind in the Café
After you’ve conquered this high ropes adventure and zip-lined over the quarry, you deserve some cake! The on-site Café is a great place to unwind and enjoy the views. Run by The Cornish Barista it offers lunch and cakes made with locally sourced ingredients. There’s also a wild play area for under 10’s and some beautiful nature trails!
We have a zip wire for younger children…
If you’re looking for a zip wire in Cornwall for younger children, then we also have a smaller one on-site, which has wonderful views! This one is reserved for school trips with BF Adventure, as well as our Adventure Holiday Club, which offers exciting outdoor childcare during half terms and the summer holiday.
Other activities – for all ages
We also offer other adventurous activities, including family friendly coasteering (in our quarry!), archery, rock climbing and watersports.
Finally, we offer camping, so you can enjoy a full-on adventure holiday with all the activities right where you’re staying.
Profits to charity
All Via Ferrata Cornwall’s profits go to our launching charity BF Adventure, which provides life-changing programmes for children and young people facing some of life’s toughest challenges. These include poverty, disabilities, mental ill health and behavioural and learning difficulties. So, by undertaking this amazing challenge, you’re also helping others to overcome their barriers! Zip-lining in Cornwall has never been this rewarding AND important!
