HERE’S WHAT THEY THINK…
Great for families!
“Thank you so much to the wonderful team for a really exhilarating afternoon. The instructors make you feel super safe and full of confidence to take on all the challenges. My ten year old daughter embraced it all and had SO much fun. We both did. The instructors are really upbeat, knowledgeable and empower you to manage your own choices, which is so great for children’s development. The quarries are truly beautiful.” – Emily
“It was declared by the kids as the best day of the holiday so far. We did the full 3 hour course. The instructors were really friendly and everything was well organised. Thanks for a great day.“ – Jenny
“Amazing morning! Was expecting moans from the kids for making them ‘ move’ (we kept it a secret until we arrived) both thought it was ‘dope’! Lovely place, will definitely return.. kids were asking why we didn’t book the whole day (that would be because of the predicted moans)!“ – Zoe
Brilliant for groups, friends & couples
“We came as a group from work and were brilliantly looked after by our two instructors, Will and Harry, immediately named the two princes! The course is a clever balance between stimulus and fun. A great outing whether you are a mountain goat or a flat-lander. The views are amazing with cake and coffee to match.” – Simon
“A unique climbing experience in a stunning location overlooking the Cornish countryside with views to the south coast. I went with a group of friends, some of whom have never climbed and do not enjoy heights. Everyone had an amazing time and we can’t wait to visit again. The route is well designed and allows climbers to use as much or as little of the ropes and holds as they like, this means the course is a challenge whatever your level of climbing experience. Our instructor Andy was amazing, while ensuring the safety of the group he made sure everyone was enjoying the challenge. The clip on system means that you are clipped in throughout the course. And the best bit, at the end there’s an amazing cafe selling homemade cakes and pasties with views of the quarry.” – Jo
Ideal for schools & associations
“I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a bit of adventure and excitement, it is very well organised and very safe, good friendly instructors, good for schools and other associations. Our ages ranged from 10, 15, 44 and 73 and believe me it was good fun.” – Mike
“We had a fantastic two days at BF doing Via Ferrata. The staff were fantastic in both their instruction and the fun they had with the girls whilst doing the activity. They supported some girls and challenged others and they all had a brilliant experience. I would highly recommend it to anyone.”– Deb Freeman, Deputy Head, Truro High School for Girls
For pros & beginners…
“Brilliant experience. I was persuaded into doing this somewhat reluctantly as I have no climbing experience. However, I felt safe throughout the course and our instructor, Jon, was both reassuring and enthusiastic. I have no hesitation in recommending Via Ferrata to both experienced and nervous participants alike. It was fabulous and the cafe was fantastic too. Many thanks to Jon.” – Catherine
“Highly recommend! It’s a must do whether you live in Cornwall or are just visiting. The instructors are excellent as is the kit provided. Enjoyable for all ages and abilities and the zip wire is a perfect way to finish the route.“ – Mathew
Fun fun fun!
“We had a blast! A well sorted set of routes around both quarries (3 hours), all extremely safe, with clear, helpful instruction and advice from the friendly members of staff, made the whole experience great fun and value for money. Well worth a visit, and try the Cafe food, excellent quality and quantity. Highly recommended.“ – Louis
“A great day out – lovely friendly knowledgeable instructors who help you navigate a fun climb, “rope” bridge and Zip wire experience. Highly recommended for an afternoon of super fun.
Climbing, Rope Bridge, Zip Wire and Cake!! who could ask for more?” – Paul
“It was an exciting experience in a wonderful place with beautiful views, fun for all the family! The leader couldn’t have been better, being friendly, helpful and encouraging.“ – Noah
“A wonderful afternoon out with my two children. The staff were absolutely fantastic – hugely friendly and happy to let everyone settle into the challenges without over-control but, at the same time, providing careful and thoughtful supervision. The equipment is of the highest quality. Safety is top priority.” – Stan
“Really welcoming team, right level of professionalism balanced with warm and friendly team. Great venue and something very different. My son and I both came away happy, challenged and safe. Looking forward to returning and trying the other courses.” – Justin
“Let me open by saying I have a great fear of heights. I thought I would end up observing my friends having ‘fun’. However the instructors and staff are amazing, exceptionally friendly and they put me at ease. I never felt pressured. So I thought why not give it a go. I am so glad I did. The courses are so well thought out – they ease you into the climbing whilst providing total confidence in the safety equipment, instructors and your own ability to do the course. I never thought I would do this and if I can anyone can. Such a great time with great people. Please give this a go, it’s a real bright spot in what could be considered a dark year. I can’t wait to go back and can’t recommend this highly enough.“ – Thealey
Challenging as you like…
“We were met by enthusiastic staff to this beautiful setting for what turned out to be a fantastic experience; you can choose to make it as challenging as you like or have the option for it to be easier if you’re unsure or younger. The instructors will help you along the way but will do this in a way that you actually help and push yourself further. We will definitely be back next year when we’re back in Cornwall.“ – Andy
“An amazing, inspiring and fabulously enjoyable experience, thanks to the Via Ferrara team. Our party ranged from young to old, from those petrified of heights (and climbing), to experienced climbers. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed every minute. An extremely progressive, well thought out course, designed to build and instill confidence, run by an enthusiastic, knowledgeable and likeable team. Stick to the rungs and wires, or increase difficulty by adding some rock moves, zip wire or leave it until another time; it’s an unforgettable day out for the whole family and benefits a wonderful charity..“ – Matt
Plenty of laughter!
“A really well thought out course, lots of attention to the small stuff and everything felt incredibly safe from start to finish. We did the Full Classic in the rain, laughing all the way round and will be coming back for more. “100 out of 10” to quote my daughter.“ – Robinson
“We absolutely loved our experience!! We found so many challenges for all abilities! The facilities are fantastic and the staff are funny and supportive! Thank you so much!“ – Sophie

All the profits go towards helping disadvantaged children and young people too, so even more reason to give it a go!” – Doug
