Themed on our secret WW2 Auxiliary Unit observation bunker hidden elsewhere on-site, our Tunnel Challenge offers unique adventures for families, children and adults, from brave five year olds through to adrenaline lovers! Plus, there’s an ‘Underground Escape Room’ Challenge coming soon!

Maze adventures for children and adults. Duration: 1-1.5 hours. Cost: £18pp. Minimum age 5.
This is great for children to dive into a world of darkness, mazes and games either on their own or with responsible adults to help guide them through the twists and turns and help conquer their fears. Be sure to check out our required adult to child supervision ratios and our FAQs as the activity is physically demanding and not suited to every adult.
Our Tunnel Challenge runs in all weathers, perfect on rainy days – and on dry days you can also enjoy our surrounding nature trails!
Parental Support
Parents must supervise children under 18 with these adult to children ratios: under 8 years – 1 adult to 1 child; 8-9 years – 1 adult to 4 children; 10 years and over – no adult supervision needed.

Coming as a family with different ages?
There’s something for everyone! There’s an amazing Cafe which offers delicious cakes and lunch. You could also grab a takeaway coffee and cake and wander through our adventure nature trails. Finally, there’s a wild play area and muddy play for under 10’s.
Frequently asked questions
How physically demanding is this activity?
The Tunnels are fairly physically demanding and involve lots of crawling, which can be hard on the knees. For this reason, we provide knee pads for adults at the start of the activity. We have observed that this is not normally a problem for children and young adults, but does become progressively more difficult with age.
What if I get scared of the dark or claustrophobic?
Everyone is issued a helmet and head torch. We’ll have a short ‘practice’ tunnel which you can try to get a bit of a feel for the size. If you find that part way through the course you want to stop, there are various exit points and our Instructors will be available to help. The tunnels start off wide and get progressively narrower, so you’ll be able to test your limits as you go. If you feel you might be slower or more nervous than others, you could choose to follow the group and take your time.
What do I need to bring and wear?
Wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty – and comfortable shoes! We’ll provide knee pads, helmets and head torches.
What are the medical restrictions?
A medium fitness level is required. You will need to make us aware of medical issues such as asthma, epilepsy, heart conditions and physical issues that may make crawling difficult. Please bring with you any medication you may need during the activity.
What’s included?
Our sessions include a full safety brief, all equipment (head torches, helmets and knee pads) and Instructors on hand at all times to help.
How tight are the tunnels?
The tunnels start off large and get progressively smaller. The smallest tunnel is 60cm wide and the tightest squeeze is 40cm high. You can expect tight spaces, sharp bends and a couple of manoeuvres moving up ladders, coming out of tunnels and small drops. Staff will there and able to assist. We feel the course is accessible to everyone but taller and larger people may find it a real challenge.

We also offer zip wires, Via Ferrata, watersports, climbing and archery! Also on-site is the Cafe with wild play areas and nature trails nearby!
